Wow! Blast from the past! It's the
very first Yankeetown School Marine
Science team! I think this is from "87
when we won regionals even though we
were probably the youngest team there.
The photo is in the Cedar Key
Auditorium, where the competition was
held. I think the people in the picture
are: Back Row, from the left; Either
Mrs. Pate or Stacey, Dawn Tesmier,
Unknown, Cari Hill, Chris Dees, Me
(Toni), Mrs. Sturtevant (mom). Front
row, from the left; Byron Pate, Unknown
(or is that Byron?), Matt Fleming, Big
Matt FLeming.
Those were the days! Mrs. Gaitanis'
2nd/3rd grade split class. I wonder
where everyone is now? If you're in
this picture, please E-Mail me!
And kudos to who hey toni lee, I added this picture. Its one of the few old pictures that I have. Added by Matt Fleming, 31 October 2000 at 0845 |

Thank you Andy for adding this to Visions of Yankeetown. I took this just east of the Bird Creek bridge on the north side of LCR 40 in the fall of 1999 while I was recovering from a kidney transplant. Both Yankeetown and the photography were good medicine.

This still was operated by some enterprising residents of Yankeetown around
the 1930 time-frame. The exact date of the picture is not known. The young
man leaning against the tree is my grandfather, K. Runnels. I'm not sure
who the others in the picture are, but perhaps someone viewing the web page
could identify them. |
